Cancer prevention and survival cooking classes
On four dates this March and April, the Foxboro Council of Aging & Human Services in partnership with Caritas Norwood Hospital will host The Cancer Project's Food For Life Cooking Series. Classes will provide community education about the importance of good nutrition in cancer prevention and survival.
Classes will be free cooking demonstrations including recipe samples focusing on:
* 3/24/08 ~ 'Fueling Up on Low Fat Foods' and 'Favoring Fiber'
* 3/31/08 ~ 'Discovering Dairy Alternatives' and 'Planning Healthy Meals'
* 4/7/08 ~ 'Replacing Meat' and 'Antioxidants & Phytochemicals'
* 4/14/08 ~ 'Immune Boosting Foods' and 'Maintaining a Healthy Weight'
