Norwood, Mass.—October 14, 2008—Donna Dulac, CNA, MHA, and David Willette received Caritas Norwood’s 2008 Andrea Ryan Award, at the hospital’s recent annual service awards dinner held at Lake Pearl Luciano’s in Wrentham.

This special honor is given in memory of Andrea Ryan, a dedicated nursing assistant at the hospital, who died in 2000. Honorees of this award exemplify the Caritas Norwood mission and core values of compassion, accountability, respect and commitment to excellence.

A one-on-one patient observer, Donna Dulac was praised for her exceptional work and dedication to patients with mental health illnesses. Caritas Norwood Nurse Manager Joan Casey said, “Donna is an amazing caregiver who excels at caring for our most challenging patients. She treats everyone with respect and dignity, and quickly builds trusting relationships, key to the well-being of all our patients.”

David Willette, a master electrician in the Facilities Department was praised for his technical expertise and dedicated efforts that impact the day-to-day ability to serve patients. Facilities Director John Crowley said, “David truly understands that the patient is our focus and that his contribution to the operation and safety of the hospital is critical to successful outcomes in all areas of the hospital.”

Caritas Norwood Hospital’s annual service awards also honored more than 200 employees for their many years of service, ranging from five to 40 years.
